About
Built by the people who’ve been raising the money.
testerdonate isn't a fintech startup discovering politics. It's a political digital firm that got tired of the donation tools available to Canadian campaigns — and built the one it wanted to use.
The story
testerdigital was founded in Ottawa in 2015 by Dean Tester, after years running digital inside the movement — first in the Ontario PC leader’s office at Queen’s Park, then building the Conservative Party of Canada’s digital campaign infrastructure at national headquarters.
Since then the firm has helped elect four premiers, raised more than $6 million for Conservative campaigns and causes, and shipped over 500 campaign websites — including the constituency website programs for two of Canada’s largest conservative parties.
testerdonate exists because every donation tool available to Canadian campaigns was either American software with Canadian elections law bolted on, or an all-in-one platform charging all-in-one prices. We wanted the things that actually raise money — exit-intent popups, customizable upsells on the thank-you page, pages we could A/B test — with none of the friction: money settling straight to the campaign’s own Stripe account, data staying in Canada, and contribution caps enforced quietly at the moment of donation so nobody thinks about them again. So we built it, ran our own clients on it first, and now it’s available to yours.

How we work
We onboard campaigns one at a time, personally. Your first page gets set up with us on a call, your financial agent gets their questions answered by someone who knows what a return looks like, and you get a direct line — not a ticket queue.
That’s deliberate. Campaigns don’t get do-overs on launch weeks, and a donation platform is not the place to discover your vendor’s support is an outsourced chatbot.
Talk to Dean.
No sales team, no discovery-call script. Email what you're running and when, and you'll get a straight answer about whether this is the right fit.
